Fostering Conversations at the National Bus & Coach Show 2024

About Volvo's Bus Stand

Volvo Buses sought to showcase their latest innovations in bus manufacturing at the 2024 National Bus & Coach Show held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. Partnering with Onyx Agency, Volvo aimed to create a memorable and impactful exhibition experience that resonated with industry professionals and potential customers.

The brief

The objective was to design an immersive experience that highlighted Volvo’s commitment to sustainability, safety, and cutting-edge technology while fostering engagement with key decision-makers in the transport sector. This included building a sustainable stand within a 48-hour period on-site, with a focus on eco-friendliness and minimal waste.

The solution

Onyx Agency developed a striking exhibition stand featuring two buses, an eye-catching tree that doubled as a circular café area for informal networking, and a series of interactive displays. The stand was designed with sustainability in mind, incorporating digital QR codes for a completely paperless experience, biodegradable coffee cups, and 110 real plants, aligning with the goal of providing an eco-friendly and sustainable stand.

Additionally, Onyx Agency showcased its digital services through the creation of six videos for the double-sided touchscreen kiosks. The Onyx team also captured a highlight video and professional photography showcasing the essence of the stand and its interactions. The event also included a special customer dinner on the first night at Lina Rooftop, providing a relaxed environment for networking.
